China Life's insurance premiums surge 22.4% to $28.17b in January-February 2019
This compares to the 4.7% growth in the same period last year.
The premium income of China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. rose 22.38% percent YoY to $28.17b (CNY189.2b) in the first two months of 2019, reports Xinhua.
This compares to the 4.7% growth in the same period in 2018.

Chinese insurers have seen stronger premium growth in recent months after authorities tightened regulations to rein in risks in the world's second-biggest insurance market.
The insurance regulator adds that overall leverage in the sector has gradually dropped and business structure improved.
