Hong Kong insurtech OneDegree upgrades pet insurance

Enrollment age limit for pets has been raised to 11 years old.

Insurtech OneDegree is enhancing the benefits of its pet insurance product dubbed Pawfect Care, according to a news release.

OneDegree is raising the enrollment age limit for Pawfect Care from eight years old to 11 in order to accommodate more senior pets and provide them with adequate coverage. Starting 18 June, cats and dogs between 13 weeks and 11 years old are now eligible for coverage.

Pets can avail of lifelong coverage once they have been enrolled.

In addition, coverage will be expanded to all registered veterinarians in the city. The 90% reimbursement rate for expenses in OneDegree’s network of clinics still applies, as well as the 70% disbursement for expenses in other clinics.

Policyholders can also file claims through their mobile phones and can expect 90% of verified claims to be paid within two working days.
