A customer diagnosed with the virus will receive a one-time cash benefit of $1,500.
Manulife Singapore has committed $1m (US$719,227) to enhance its protection coverage amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, according to a news release.
Effective until 1 June 2020, a customer diagnosed with the virus in Singapore will receive a one-time cash benefit of $1,500. If hospitalised for five days or more, an additional $2,000 would be payable.
An additional lump sum of $30,000 if a customer dies of the virus, on top of the death benefit from existing policy.
