Sun Life launches Singapore office

It plans to cater to high and ultra high net worth clients.

Life insurer Sun Life has opened its Singapore branch following the final licence approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore in May, according to an announcement.

The insurer plans to offer life products to high and ultra high net worth clients. Belinda Au, the former general manager of distribution and marketing at Sun Life Hong Kong, has been named CEO of Sun Life Singapore.

This move extends the insurers presence to eight Asian markets, where its underlying net income has expanded at a CAGR of 15%.
