AIA to simplify policy language amidst customer feedback

Difficulty in understanding the terms is seen as the top reason.

AIA Singapore said it will start minimising the jargon in its insurance policies, as two in five customers have stated unfamiliarity with the details of their policies.

It also found that the majority of customers are likely to just skim through policy documents as they find the information difficult to absorb. Other reasons are a lack of time to digest or they prefer to tap their insurance advisors instead.

In line with this, AIA Singapore announced its initiative to help customers better understand insurance policies through HealthShield Gold Max (AIA HSG) policy materials.
