Allianz Trade names new regional head of e-commerce in APAC

James Lie first joined Allianz Trade as country manager for Indonesia in 2018.

Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific has appointed James Lie as the regional head of e-commerce, effective 1 April.

“The potential of B2B e-commerce in Asia Pacific is immense, and as the world’s leader in trade credit insurance, we are poised to lead this industry growth with our e-commerce and Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) solutions.” Shan Aboo, regional commercial director at Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific, said.

“With his demonstrated track record of delivering results, James will deliver these innovative solutions and make trade easier for businesses.” Aboo added.

Lie has successfully developed the Indonesia portfolio as country manager in 2018 and has partnered with local businesses to build up the company’s reputation and competitive advantage.

Prior to joining Allianz Trade, Lie has garnered over 15 years of experience in the trade credit insurance field.
