AXA XL names Riha for Key role in Europe, Asia

She will be relocated from Singapore to Dublin.

AXA XL has reeled in Robert Riha as chief client & distribution officer for Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, effective 1 July.

In this role, Riha will oversee client and broker engagement and marketing in APAC and Europe, reporting to Xavier Veyry, CEO of APAC & Europe, and Manuel Meier, Global Chief Client Officer.

Veyry noted that the company aims to grow in the APAC and Europe regions. Riha will be tasked with driving broker engagement and identifying new distribution opportunities. With nearly 20 years of experience in commercial risk across international markets.

Riha will enhance existing client relationships in Europe, Asia, and Australia, helping to broaden AXA XL’s solutions, including traditional risk transfer and tech-enabled prevention services.

Riha began his insurance career in 2006, working at RSA for Parabis Law, and later specialised in insurance litigation with Kennedys. 

He joined AXA XL in 2012 as a senior claims adjuster in London, moved to Singapore to lead claims teams in Southeast Asia, and became Head of Claims, in Asia in 2021. Riha will be relocating from Singapore to Dublin.
