Chubb makes senior management shuffles in APAC
It has also created a new role for consumer lines.
Chubb is making several senior management changes in its Asia Pacific operations effective 1 July whilst also launching a new division, an announcement read.
Edward Ler, Chubb’s country president for its general insurance business in Korea, will now be responsible for the general management and business results in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Ler will relocate to Singapore for his new role and continue to report to Paul McNamee, Chubb's regional president for Asia Pacific. Ler replaces Glen Browne, who was appointed APAC division president of consumer lines, a newly established role to oversee the accident and health and personal lines businesses in the region.
Browne also reports to McNamee and will work with Chubb Life COO Brad Bennett.
Taking over Ler in Korea is Edward Kopp, who has been the firm's regional head for accident and health since 2019. Kopp's deputy Ben Howell will replace him as regional head of accident and health for APAC.
