Etiqa launches e-Takaful Hayat for PERKESO contributors

The app also assigns a health score to users based on their screening results.

Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad unveiled the e-Takaful Hayat, which grants PERKESO contributors access to free health screenings, as well as the option to purchase premium health screenings. It offers a network of over 3,500 clinics nationwide.

Through PERKESO’s SEHATi app, the plan is accessible to 9 million PERKESO contributors, offering them early access to takaful coverage.

This initiative is part of a digital partnership involving Bumi Healthtech, AQM Technologies, PERKESO, and Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad, aimed at expanding takaful coverage via digital platforms.

The app also assigns a health score to users based on their screening results, ranging from 0 to 100, which reflects the individual’s risk of developing chronic diseases.

This score helps users make informed decisions about their health.

The e-Takaful Hayat plan rewards PERKESO contributors with above-average health scores by offering a 10% reduction in contribution rates. This incentive is designed to encourage positive health behaviours.

The product was developed through the collaboration of Bumi Healthtech and AQM Technologies.
