Generali GC&C names Asia head of casualty underwriting

The new head has worked in several markets including Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial has appointed Wendy Law as head of casualty underwriting in Asia.

Law, who will be based in Hong Kong,  joins Generali from Starr Insurance Companies, where she served as the head of liability with responsibility for the profitability, portfolio management and underwriting performance of the general liability businesses. 

Law has over a decade of experience in both corporate and commercial business and the Lloyd’s market and mainly overlooking the Asia region including Mainland China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and South-East Asia. 

Law spent her initial years at Catlin before joining Tokio Marine Kiln, where the scope of her role was increased to include managerial responsibilities and to develop junior underwriters in different offices.
