Geneva Association elects CEO of AIA as chairman

Three new board members represent Tokio Marine, BNP Paribas, and Achmea.

The Geneva Association has chosen Lee Yuan Siong, Group Chief Executive and President of AIA, as its chairman.

He succeeds Christian Mumenthaler, CEO of Swiss Re, and has been vice chairman since November 2021.

Additionally, three new members were elected to the board of directors at the 2024 General Assembly: Satoru Komiya, CEO of Tokio Marine; Pauline Leclerc-Glorieux, CEO of BNP Paribas Cardif; and Bianca Tetteroo, CEO and Chair of the Executive Board of Achmea.

The spring 2024 board meeting preceded the Association’s annual General Assembly, which gathered 55 global insurance CEOs, hosted by Tsuyoshi Nagano, Chairman of Tokio Marine, and Hiroshi Shimizu, President & CEO of Nippon Life, in Kyoto, Japan.
