German supermarket chain dips toes in Australia’s insurance market

It will offer car and home insurance.

Aldi has announced a global first with the launch of Aldi Insurance in Australia, according to a news.com.au report.

Known for its low prices, the German retailer is now offering financial products such as comprehensive car and home and contents insurance, maintaining its reputation for competitive quality and pricing.

Rodney Balech, Group Director at Aldi Australia, emphasised the importance of offering value during the current cost-of-living crisis.

He stated that Aldi Insurance aims to provide Australians with high-quality insurance products at the best possible price, mirroring its grocery model.

Balech highlighted that Aldi Insurance will feature no confusing jargon or hidden exclusions, and quotes can be completed in as little as three minutes.

Partnering with Honey Insurance and RACQ Insurance, Aldi ensures high-quality and straightforward insurance options for its customers.
