HSBC Life Hong Kong launches video-conference insurance service

Retail banking clients registered in Personal Internet Banking can opt in.

HSBC Life Hong Kong has introduced a video conferencing service that will allow retail banking customers to meet their insurance needs.

Effective on 18 May, retail banking clients who are registered with HSBC’s Personal Internet Banking can opt for a video appointment with their relationship managers and insurance agents through a secure platform. Customers can join a video conference with an HSBC specialist using their computer or via mobile devices via the Zoom app.

The platform operates under the approval of the Hong Kong Insurance Authority’s Insurtech Sandbox which facilitates a pilot run of applications by authorised insurers to be applied in their operations.
