India's RenewBuy pool $45m in Series C funding

It will use the investment to compete with PolicyBazaar.

Indian insurtech RenewBuy has raised $45m in a Series C funding round led by Apis Partners, according to media reports.

The fund will help the firm compete with fellow Indian insurtech PolicyBazaar which raised $75m back in March.

RenewBuy offers motor, health and life insurance coverage. Customers can choose and compare insurance prices and features and be advised by a point-of-sale personnel through its platform.

Majority of RenewBuy’s operations are in semi-urban and rural areas in India where it focuses on the under-insured population.
