Mack Eng takes over as new MSIG Singapore head

He will succeed Craig Ellis as CEO and director.

General insurer MSIG Singapore has appointed Mack Eng as the new CEO and director of MSIG Singapore.

Eng will take over from Craig Ellis who will be retiring and returning home to Australia. Ellis will formally step down on 1 January 2022.

Eng, who held the position of executive vice president of MSIG Asia before the appointment, is an industry veteran who joined MSIG in October 2018. He has been proactively leading the development of the regional business and digital strategies, as well as working closely with the Head Office as the Head of Global Digital Hub Singapore for their key initiatives around the region.

Before that, he has worked in senior business and leadership positions at key insurance players including Royal & Sun Alliance, Allianz, ACE, and Prudential covering both local and regional business. Whilst most of his career was spent on the general insurance side, covering both retail and corporate business through the multi-distribution channels, Mack has also been responsible for Life and Medical portfolios.
