Manulife Financial reports $5.6b net income for 2023
Earnings per share is $2.62 for the period
Manulife Financial Corporation has reported a net income of $5.6b for 2023, a turnaround from the $1.98b loss it reported in 2022.
Net income attributable to shareholders and equity holders was $5.103b for the whole year.

Total assets reached $875.57b as of 31 December 2023. Total liabilities were $826.84b during the same period, whilst total equity was $48.72b.
An earnings per share is $2.62, with dividends per common share being $1.46. The dividend is higher than the $1.32 given in 2022.
