Mosaic Insurance opens new Singapore Office

The new office will expand the company’s transactional business across APAC

Mosaic Insurance announced the opening of its new Singapore office to build its transactional business across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The new office, located in the country’s central business district on Battery Road, is the insurance company’s eighth since its launch on 4 February 2021.

Lloyd’s Syndicate 1609, managed by Asta Managing Agency, will provide the underwriting capacity for Mosaic’s Singapore platform.

In line with this, Mosaic hired two specialty underwriters to lead the new office —- Benn Wilson, who will serve as the regional CEO and Head of Mosaic’s transactional liability division in Asia, and Edwin Chau, Manager for Transactional Liability.

Before joining Mosaic, Wilson was a corporate and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A) solicitor for Ashurst LLP and in-house counsel for telecommunications company Ooredoo.

Chau previously worked for AIG for three years, where he was responsible for underwriting transactional liability insurance in the APAC, and for Aon as a director for its transaction risks team for six years.
