Munich Re HealthTech taps Bilal Ramadan as CEO
Ramadan succeeds Gerry Raftopoulos, who served the HealthTech arm for 28 years.
Munich Re HealthTech has promoted Bilal Ramadan to chief executive officer, reporting to Owais Ansari, Head of Munich Re Life & Health, MENA, Pakistan & Takaful Business.
Ramadan will lead the strategy of Munich Re HealthTech (MRHT) to reinforce its position as a leading software technology provider in the health insurance industry.
His responsibilities include overseeing product development, driving commercial growth, and ensuring project success.

Ramadan, who has served as Chief Delivery Officer since January 2016, brings 27 years of experience within Munich Re Group, encompassing technology, management consulting, and related practices.
Ramadan succeeds Gerry Raftopoulos, who led Munich Re HealthTech for 28 years. He officially assumed his new role last 1 March.
Ramadan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and a Master of Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from the University of LaVerne, USA.
