Pacific Life Re names Vasan Errakiah as Asia general manager

He will join the insurer’s Asia Executive Committee.

American insurer Pacific Life Re has appointed Vasan Errakiah in the newly-created role of general manager, Asia Markets.

Errakiah will be responsible for Pacific Life Re’s market activities throughout Asia, with markets heads reporting directly to him. He reports to Andrew Gill, executive vice president for Asia and Australia.

Errakiah also joins the Asia Executive Committee in his new role. He has worked with Pacific Life Re for over 15 years, across office in London, Toronto, and Singapore. Prior to his promotion, Errakiah has been the head of the insurer’s Southeast Asia and Japan offices.

The move is part of Pacific Life Re's increased presence in Asian markets, where it said it experienced “substantial growth across all markets.”
