Phl’s state social insurer expands mobile app to pensioners in S’pore and US

Nearly eight in 10 GSIS pensioners are based in Singapore and the US.

The Philippines’ Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has extended the use of its mobile app, GSIS Touch, to pensioners based in the United States and Singapore, allowing them to fulfil the proof of life requirement and conduct other transactions conveniently.

Approximately 78% of GSIS pensioners abroad are located in the US and Singapore, totalling around 18,000 individuals. 

Pensioners in Singapore, pensioners who have already registered on the GSIS Touch app can utilize its features.

For those in the US, pensioners can download and register on the GSIS Touch app, receiving a one-time personal identification number (OTP) via email for registration. 

Initially available to pensioners in the Philippines, there are also plans to include pensioners from other regions such as Europe, the Middle East, and Canada.
