Prudential SG introduces easy way to switch plans

Eligible policyholders can take advantage of the feature from 1 Sept. to 31 Dec.

Prudential Singapore unveiled PRUShield EasySwitch, allowing policyholders with Shield Plans to switch to their PRUSHield policies and supplementary plans (riders).

From 1 September to 31 December, eligible individuals can take advantage of this streamlined process. Instead of undergoing a complete underwriting process and filling out a lengthy health questionnaire, they will only need to answer three health-related questions.

If their application is approved, Prudential will recognise the inception date of their existing Shield policy with another insurer as the start date for their new PRUShield policy.

This means that all policy benefits and claims assessments will apply accordingly. Additionally, waiting periods for certain conditions, which are typically applicable, will be waived, depending on the duration of the previous policy.

It's worth noting that approximately 71% of Singapore residents, totalling 2.9 million lives, are covered by Integrated Shield Plans (IPs), which provide additional coverage on top of MediShield Life.
