QBE selects Peter Wilson as non-executive director

The appointment is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be effective from 1 September.

QBE Insurance Group Limited has appointedof Peter Wilson as a non-executive director to the group board.

With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Wilson is a seasoned insurance executive and business leader.

He previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Axis Insurance from 2013 to 2022 and served as President of US Insurance.

During his career, he also held significant roles at CNA Insurance and AIG, including President and Chief Operating Officer for CNA Specialty and Executive Vice President at AIG.

His expertise in claims management processes and strategic broker relations, particularly in the United States, United Kingdom, and Bermuda, further strengthens the board, according to QBE.

The appointment is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be effective from 1 September.
