QBE sharpens focus on claims support in Australia

Key initiatives include addressing delays, communication, and risk management.

QBE Insurance said it is intensifying its focus on improving claims support for its Australian customers, leveraging insights from recent severe weather events such as the 2022 East Coast floods.

Key initiatives include addressing delays, enhancing communication, and bolstering risk management efforts.

QBE has introduced a Property Health Check Program, deploying a team of experts to conduct thorough assessments on complex property claims. This proactive approach helps identify and address issues promptly, ensuring effective resolution for affected customers.

In another advancement, QBE utilised geospatial technology during the Australian pilot post-Tropical Cyclone Jasper. This move facilitated quicker claim assessments and response times, minimising reliance on external reports and expediting recovery efforts.
