Singapore insurance services to remain open amidst lockdown

The government has raised distancing measures against COVID-19.

Singapore’s insurance regulators have assured that services will continue after the government announced heightened distancing measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Life Insurance Association (LIA) and the General Insurance Association (GIA) released separate statements affirming that services such as claims and premiums processing will remain open.

Whilst some customer service centres may close indefinitely due to lower traffic, certain services such as updating of personal details and checking of policy status will remain available online.
