Singapore opens proposals for integrated health claims platform
It aims to extend access to patients' insurance policy details.
Singapore’s General Insurance Association of Singapore, Life Insurance Association, and Integrated Health Information Systems has announced a call-for-proposal (CFP) for an integrated health insurance claims platform, an announcement read.
The platform aims to provide healthcare providers access to patients' insurance policy details to check if admission deposit can be waived, faster claims processing, and timelier data exchange.
Once developed, the platform will be deployed as a live pilot with policyholders from the participating insurer being the first to gain access, with the end objective being to scale the platform for nation-wide adoption.
Participating organisations for this pilot include KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, and The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited.
The CFP will open from 15 March and close on 26 April.
