Sompo appoints new chief risk officer and Japan head of reinsurance
Koji Takahashi will be succeeding Emiko Maki.
Sompo Holdings has appointed Koji Takahashi as the new Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Head of Reinsurance for Sompo Japan, effective 1 April, succeeding Emiko Maki.
Maki is stepping down from her positions within Sompo Japan upon announcing her retirement.

In his new role, Takahashi will report to Koji Ishikawa, President of the core subsidiary, and Christopher Donelan, Chief Executive Officer of SompoRe, the global reinsurance operations of Sompo, and the overseas insurance and reinsurance business of Sompo Holdings.
Takahashi currently serves as the CRO for Sompo, Asia Pacific, and brings 33 years of experience in risk management and re/insurance to his new position.
