Synpulse enhances APAC strategy with new insurance head

He will focus on enhancing insurance and banking offerings in the region.

Synpulse, a professional services provider to major banking and insurance institutions, has appointed Joel Lim as partner and head of Insurance Asia Pacific (APAC)

Lim brings over 25 years of experience in digital and emerging technologies within financial services, having previously served as CEO of Asia at Coherent and Technology Consulting Partner at EY Consulting.

In his new role, Lim will focus on enhancing Synpulse’s insurance and banking offerings in the APAC region, specialising in digital transformation, legacy modernisation, embedded insurance, and data & AI solutions. 

His career highlights include leading transformative projects such as Guidewire transformations for global insurers and the launch of virtual banks and P2P payments platforms.

Lim will be based in Hong Kong, supporting Synpulse’s ‘Diamond Strategy’ aimed at expanding consulting, technology, and managed platform offerings across the APAC region. 

Synpulse currently operates from eight offices in APAC with a team of over 700 professionals, underscoring its dedication to providing localized services to clients across diverse markets.
