Tokio Marine reports potential data leak of 63,200 policyholders

It affected three other companies.

Japanese insurance giant Tokio Marine Holdings reported potential data leaks involving the personal information of around 63,200 policyholders, reported the Jiji Press.

The leaks were discovered after an outsourced accounting firm suffered a ransomware attack.

The affected companies include Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Tokio Marine & Nichido Life Insurance Co., and E.design Insurance Co. 

The potentially compromised information includes policyholders' names, addresses, and insurance policy numbers. No unauthorised use of the leaked information has been confirmed.
