Tune Protect Group welcomes new CEO, CFO
Their roles are effective last 29 July.
Tune Protect Group announced the key appointments of How Kim Lian as group chief executive officer (GCEO) and Teoh Kek Pin as group chief financial officer (GCFO) effective last 29 July.
As GCEO, How will focus on expanding Tune Protect’s presence in the lifestyle ecosystem and collaborating with regional players to establish the Group as a leading insurance provider in the travel sector.
His strategy aims to highlight the Group’s capabilities in technology and reinsurance, ensuring a consistent customer experience and a global product offering.
How joined Tune Protect in 2020 as Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) and succeeds Rohit Nambiar, who stepped down in May 2024. As GCFO, How managed Procurement, Legal, and Corporate Secretarial portfolios, and played a critical role in developing key financial strategies, evaluating operational trends, and identifying expansion opportunities.
In addition to his GCEO role, How serves as a Director at Tune Protect Re Ltd. and Tune Protect Thailand.
Before joining Tune Protect, How was the Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer at AirAsia. He has extensive knowledge in Finance Transformation, Programme Management, Enterprise Performance Management, and Investor Relations.
How is a member of the Australian Society of CPAs, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and is a Certified Internal Auditor.
Likewise, Teoh’s responsibilities encompass strategic financial management, financial leadership and management, corporate finance and strategy, and external financial relations.
Prior to joining Tune Protect, Teoh was the CFO of The Pacific Insurance Berhad.
