Vietnam launches plan for social insurance with Korea
The international cooperation dept will lead insurance tasks.
On 13 May, Vietnam Social Security issued Plan No. 1374/KH-BHXH to implement the social insurance agreement between Vietnam and South Korea.
The plan aims to fully and accurately fulfil the commitments, responsibilities, and obligations, ensuring the rights and interests of affected labourers. It specifies tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities for units within Vietnam Social Security and provincial Social Security Offices.
The plan emphasises coordination between the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, other relevant ministries, sectors, and Korean partners. It requires timely and effective task execution from all units involved.

Key tasks include participating in policy formulation, executing the implementation agreement, communicating the agreement’s contents, providing training for civil servants, and rewarding outstanding achievements.
The implementation of the agreement should be integrated into annual action plans.
The Department of International Cooperation will lead the promotion and execution of these tasks and report on the outcomes.
Heads of units and provincial directors must ensure progress, quality, and effectiveness, reporting results to Vietnam Social Security by 30 November.
