Wotton + Kearney opens regional office in Singapore
Asia practice will be led by managing partner Ben Nicholson and Tom Morrison.
Wotton + Kearney unveiled its Singapore office, making its mark as a legal player in insurance and risk across the Asia Pacific region.
The company said in a media release that this move makes it the first Australian-domiciled insurance and risk law firm to establish a presence in Asia.
The Asia practice will be led by managing partner Ben Nicholson, who joined from Kennedys, Singapore, along with partner Tom Morrison and a team of five, including senior associates Audrey Wong and James Sutherland, associates Mantita Yeo and Nathaniel Loh, and team secretary Jane Lefort.
With extensive experience in the Asia Pacific region, the team brings a deep understanding of regional law and insurance market nuances.
Based in Singapore, the team will serve clients across Asia and the Middle East, creating a regional hub for the firm.
Ben Nicholson, a leading insurance and reinsurance lawyer in Singapore, specializes in property, energy, engineering, and infrastructure risks, with experience in the Asia Pacific, UK, Middle East, and North Africa.
Tom Morrison focuses on property, energy, and construction matters, offering policy coverage advice on various complex engineering losses and international arbitrations.
Founded in 2002, Wotton + Kearney has expanded to 82 partners and over 450 lawyers across ten offices, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and now Singapore.
