WTW opens APAC Climate Risk Centre in Singapore

It concentrates on evaluating and quantifying both physical and transition climate risks.

WTW unveiled its Asia Pacific Climate Risk Centre (ACRC) in Singapore. It hopes to aid the region's transition towards a resilient, low-carbon economy.

Leveraging WTW's expertise in risk management and risk financing, the centre will provide assistance to corporations, financial institutions, insurers, and governments in comprehending, measuring, and fortifying their defences against climate-related risks.

It concentrates on evaluating and quantifying both physical and transition climate risks through advanced methods and proprietary models.

The launch of the centre underscores the significance of the region in WTW's Climate Practice and represents the culmination of decades of investment in climate risk capabilities. 

Over the coming three years, the centre will be staffed with a dedicated team of 15 climate specialists to serve clients in the APAC.
