Zurich mulls selling Australian general insurance assets: report

This is part of the group’s plans to streamline its assets.

Zurich Insurance Group is considering selling some of its general insurance assets in Australia, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The report said the Swiss insurer is looking into divesting its non-core commercial assets in Australia

Sources revealed that this is part of the group’s plans to "streamline" its portfolio; however, deliberations are said to still be in the preliminary stages.

The transaction is predicted to be worth several hundred million dollars.
